esamenoi:
Just out of interest and im only about 20 mins through and its great so far.

Whats the deal with Kirn? Are you back for 1337 or just guest? Cos I think its really working with you 4 :)
Eloysius:
She's on the show as much as possible, but probably not full time. Still a major pain making this work across time zones, and she's doing what she can - her presence will be felt on 1337 more as the show continues.
Oman:
I have a rather long drive home today, so this is much appreciated.
Necrith:
AWESOME episode is Awesome as always :O!
Still wondering where you guys are finding the word Elite from 1337 , (There is no e in there you hackers!)

But yeh, Questing seems great, actually doing and WANTING to do all of them
Azunai:
I only listen to two podcasts whilst at work (computer desk paperwork >_>), Kevin Smith's Smodcast (I suggest you give it a listen too :D) and TC

This was just great, My step brother has just started wow and he has been kept in game through the new quest system and dungeon system, he annoys me because he constantly complains and I am going old man withers on him (I remember the day when I had to LOOK for a group!!!!)
BluKrnchips for more Kairn bloodhoof!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Favorite quest line: Benediction questline for priests, it was old, hard in the day (heals :S) reminded me of old-school wow and now I have an item that not only looks just fantastic but is also non-obtainable in the game anymore.

That and pretty much all the cataclysm quests, the harrison jones ones in particular (Uldum). These really spoke to me from the film references to the wiked cutscenes, and I hate questing, I pvp and go to instance, but cataclysm really did hit it for me.
Tsumari:
I find myself once again completely on the same page as Bryce. I always seem like a tool to my guildies because if someone offers to quest with me or be "leveling buddies," I almost always turn them down. The quest lore really is my main motivation to play WoW, and as such I almost inevitably unsubscribe 1-2 months after I've gone through all of the content with my main three characters. I really am more of an RPG fan than an MMORPG fan.

Also, I'd like to second the sentiment that anyone who has not played Mass Effect should DO EET NOW! Between ME1 and ME2, they might be the best game series of *all time.* Top 5 for sure, at the very least. And I disagree that it's "not really a game." The combat in ME2 is fantastic, and ME1 is not a s good but far from dull.
bluekornchips:
ME1 and ME2 are in my top five games ever played, second best storyline(you can't beat WoW's), and favorite RPG.
Eloysius:
I think Mass Effect (as a franchise) is the best I've ever played, even over WoW, which I find moments of greatness in, but often feel lacking. Not sure about Dragon Age yet - it's solid - but not as good as Mass Effect. Really enjoyed the single player campaign for Starcraft 2 as well - great storytelling.
Oman:
Dragon Age should be played on PC *only*. The interface doesn't work on consoles, not even slightly.

Anyway: I give my props to Bill/Bryce for one thing from this last show. I'm not sure if that is when Bill actually did his readings, or if they were post-productioned in, but that was the perfect timing for them all. It felt organic, it split the topics without feeling like a page-break. Really strong comedic timing from Bill, or an excellent ear for editing from Bryce.

Otherwise, this four-cast ensemble worked super-well. Rox is coming along in leaps and bounds as both a podcaster and as part of the TC crew.

Having Kirn back is always a nice touch, and while timezones are a struggle, she's always welcome in my ear (as it were).

Bill is finding a really nice medium for me. I appreciate that he's a wild guy, I like that, it works. But I think that the comedy he had in this one was a lot more effective and subtle than some of the others.

Bryce is hilarious when he tries to run these topics like "What do you think of Mass Effect and Dragon Age?" and everyone just goes "uhhh, I think I saw the box once." I'm a huge fan of TC's organic unscripted style, but this came out looking pretty poor. It's better when you have discussion and bouncing rather than a monologue. Whether or not more preparation would assist is something to think about, at least give the others a chance to youtube it or something.

All in all, a great enjoyable show with a little constructive feedback from myself.

I have not played Mass Effect but I have played dragon age on the pc and love its gameplay style. I have even studied Mass Effect in game studies at University, mainly about how the story is comprised, whos the good guy/bad guy from basic story outlines.

I will give it a try, but at the moment I am sort of in the dark.
Eloysius:
Bill's story time was all organically timed - I didn't move anything around in the edit - I actually only omitted one.

As far as the topics not always flowing - yeah, that could be fixed by more prep time - but honestly, it's hard enough just trying to get people to record and get these out. More prep time means more work, and still no one is paying us a salary to do this. I wish they would - because I would do TC full time over anything else.
Oman:
Understood. I guess, due to the quality you've produced, I've come to expect a lot of professionalism from what is an amateur podcast in the end. That said, I'm still holding you to that standard, you're not off the hook that easy :)

Interesting to know about Bill, he's got great timing.
Beatlejuice:
You were talking about the comedy in the game and how it takes you out of the immersion. I have already stated that the lore and story of it doesn't do much for me however I found now that everything is a reference of some other game, movie or something else in our culture and at first it was cool. Now it is just too much and annoying. The quest names, the npc's, a 300 reference in Dragonmaw, and of course the Harris Jones quests and tons of achievement names.

First the nod to things was nice. Now it's more like mass ripoffs. IF I did play for the immersion and lore aspects, I would imagine I would be kinda pissed. I think the story is cool and all. Seems though that it is a fantasy soap opera now. Someone gets betrayed or misled and used at every turn it sounds like. I do like a good story and this one is okay to me at best. But a fun game. We aren't talking The Dark Tower or Harry Potter far as story goes.

I do like a good story and that brings me to games. ME1-2 were both awesome games. I got them both for the PC and played thru each rather quickly. I am certain there were others as good but these were recent so they are in my head at this moment. I will have to ponder over others to think of them. But ME created a rich sci-fi universe as Bioware is capable of doing. Probably Dragon Age is too but it doesn't catch me as much (and it hasn't went on massive sale in Steam as the others had).
Maiven:
Currently listening to the show. Thanks so much for bringing WoW back into your pod cast agendas. I've missed it so. I've been a long time listener, I even rolled a toon on Whisperwind a few years back but didn't spend too much time there. :(

I was real excited to hear Kirn's voice actually. Everyone else is doing so well in the cast. Adding one more to the team really put the cherry on top.

I just paused the cast while listening about Kirn talk about saving the baby turtles and having the zones change.
Once you get past that Phase, you can't go back. This happened during Wrath of the Lich King in a few zones. Especially in Icecrown. I tried helping a guildie in Mt Hyjal and couldn't see them. It was sad. :(

and... back to listening. ;)
bluekornchips:
Am I going insane or are Episode 3 and 4 the same thing?
Eloysius:
Am I going insane or are Episode 3 and 4 the same thing?

They are definitely different shows.
nativebrown:
Just bopping in to say great to have a WoW themed offshoot again. Keep it up guys. Really digging it.
bluekornchips:
Mmo-champion semi confirmed your Thrall becoming the new earth aspect theory.

Looks like you should start playing again!
Tsumari:
What's funny is, I ran a Warcraft-based Pathfinder game around the time WotLK came out in an alternate timeline. The aspects had died and all been replaced by mortals.

-Uther the Lightbringer, Champion of Nozdormu (He was still alive in my timeline due to Varian becoming the Lich King instead of Arthas... it's complicated, the retcons went clear back to Warcraft 2)

-Tyrande Whisperwind, Champion of Alexstrasza

-Cenarius, Champion of Ysera (Also alive in my timeline because Grom never went to Kalimdor to kill him)

-Khadgar, Champion of Malygos

So yeah, can't *exactly* say I called it... but I was right on the money as far as dragon aspects being replaceable by non-dragons
demaman:
I can't listen to show #3 of the TC1337, cause its linking to the latest show. Maybe the issue with 3 &4 is the same? Also, love your show!!!!!
Eloysius:
Hmm...you mean on the archives page on the TC site right? NOT iTUnes?
